Therapy
Adults
With young adults, therapy aims to instill confidence, self – awareness and skillsets needed to facilitate growth and personal development, in a curious thinking space. I also, when suitable, bring in mindfulness and meditation which focusses on increasing our awareness of thoughts and feelings.
Teens
Adolescence, often referred to as “the hour of the stranger”, can be a time of stress for many teenagers and their families. During this time, adolescents are trying to make sense of who they are and how they fit in the world and this is usually accompanied by a struggle for independence. Depending on the presenting problem, therapy aims to help the adolescent to recognise their feelings and to think about how their relationship with the self (intra) and their relationship with others (inter) is affecting their thoughts and behaviour.
